Our new multi-media Christmas campaign for Overgate Shopping Centre in Dundee has launched using a heady mixture of TV, 48 and 6 sheet posters, radio, press and social media. The campaign is based on the premise that Overgate understands people’s needs at Christmas, primarily Mums who have to take on many different roles over the festive season.
Kylie Wilson, Marketing Manager of Overgate, said, “Using the many different media channels available allows us to communicate at every level – from the broad reach of TV right down to the more intimate tweets from ‘Overgate Mum’. I’m delighted with family’s fully integrated approach.” It’s been very well received within our industry and, most importantly, by all those busy Mums in Dundee.

Hot off the press. On Friday 9th October we enjoyed (in our own inimitable style) a successful night at the Scottish Advertising Awards. We came away with three awards for Ocean Terminal’s taxi, A1 Comics’ Christmas campaign and the Scottish Design Awards’ intro film. We were also Commended twice, along with 6 other nominations. The judging was of a very high standard with only the very best being awarded so we were delighted with our achievements. We’re already working on beating our haul next year.

Our campaign to raise awareness of the National Library of Scotland’s diverse offering is now up and running following a ‘soft launch’ earlier in the year. The campaign is based on the thought that reading one of the library’s books is experiencing the subject almost ‘first hand’ – hence the line ‘As close as you can get.’ Already the high profile campaign has picked up a Commendation at the Scottish Advertising Awards, as well as numerous other nominations.

Did you know that from 1st December it is illegal for operators to allow under 18s to use sunbeds in Scotland? With this in mind, CRUK and Healthier Scotland asked us to devise a new campaign about the perils of sunbed use – something we were more than happy to help with. The creative message centred on how using a sunbed just once a month or more could change someone’s plans dramatically. A tricky young audience to reach (who think “it won’t happen to me”), we used a series of 6 sheet posters in shopping malls across Scotland, as well as a digital version displayed on the big screens in Glasgow and Edinburgh train stations.
