For the most part, political posters are a bit like the headlines from a tabloid newspaper. Short, sharp, possibly funny. But they must start with a truth if they are going to resonate with the electorate.
Google ‘Bliar’ and you’ll get over 66,000 hits. The term started with our poster at the 2001 Scottish Elections and has been used the world over ever since. (The Sun at the time were somewhat churlish in their praise – possibly because we thought of it first.)
